
Sausage & Mash with Onion Gravy
A comforting family favourite made with quality pork sausages, creamy mashed potato and rich onion gravy.
Ingredients
- •2 (approximately 120 g total) Quality pork sausages
- •200 g Floury potatoes, peeled and chopped
- •¼ Large onion, thinly sliced
- •37.5 g Frozen peas
- •5 g Butter
- •15 ml Semi-skimmed milk
- •75 ml Reduced-salt onion gravy
- •To taste Freshly ground black pepper

Fan oven, saucepan, small saucepan
Method
- 1Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
- 2Place the sausages onto a baking tray and cook for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through, until browned and cooked through.
- 3While the sausages are cooking, place the potatoes into a saucepan of cold water. Bring to the boil and cook for 18–20 minutes until tender.
- 4During the final 10 minutes, cook the sliced onion in a small saucepan over a medium-low heat until softened and lightly browned.
- 5Add the reduced-salt onion gravy to the onions and heat gently until piping hot.
- 6During the final 5 minutes, boil the frozen peas until tender.
- 7Drain the potatoes thoroughly, add the butter and milk, then mash until smooth. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
- 8Serve the sausages with the mashed potato, peas and onion gravy.
